Over the decades, and during the recent protests, many suspicious deaths have occurred among regime protesters, both in prisons and on the streets, all of which the regime claimed were deaths due to underlying disease or suicide. This is despite the fact that in most of these cases, no evidence of suicide or disease is found.
After the regime's claim that Mahsa Jina Amini died due to an underlying disease and the suicide claims of Sarina Esmaeilzadeh and Nika Shakarami, it was Donya Farhadi's turn.
Union Councils of Iranian Students reports that Donya Farhadi (22), contrary to the regime's media claims that she had committed suicide, was shot dead in Ahvaz hours after a "verbal conflict with university Basijis". Danya Farhadi, a student from Izeh, disappeared on National Student Day, December 7, in Ahvaz, and her body was found by fishermen a week later, far from the city, on the banks of the Karun River.
Precious Lives in Danger
Among the 11 protestors sentenced to death, there are many concerns about the execution of Mohammad Ghobadlou and Majid Kazemi.
Death sentences are issued in the regime's “courts” while the detainees are denied their basic rights, including the right to choose a lawyer, and are kept in solitary confinement for weeks under physical and mental torture.
Solidarity Rally for Iran
On Monday, January 16 at 13:00 CET, Iranians will gather in front of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The purpose of this demonstration is to declare solidarity with the people inside Iran and the revolution, as well as to demand the member states of the European Union to declare the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization.
Another Day, Another Execution
On Saturday, Mizan news agency affiliated with the Islamic Republic Judiciary announced the execution of Alireza Akbari's death sentence. He was an Iranian-British citizen arrested 3 years ago on charges of espionage for Britain.
Akbari was a former senior employee of the regime's Ministry of Defense and a former adviser to the current Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani.
Alireza Akbari's execution was condemned by Western governments, including England, Germany, France, and the United States, and was called a "horrible and disgusting act". In response to this action, England sanctioned the regime's attorney general.
