Friday's Highlights: Unbreakable Determination

Jan 28, 2023

On Friday morning, the people of Zahedan saw the first snowfall of this winter, but the cold weather did not prevent them from attending the Friday prayer and the demonstrations and protests afterwards. The intensified presence of the regime's forces, mass arrests, and countless threats were ineffective against the invincible will of the people of Zahedan.

Terrorist Attack on The Embassy of The Republic of Azerbaijan

On Friday, an armed person attacked the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran, during which one person was killed and two others were injured.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan strongly condemned this terrorist attack. Officials of many other countries have strongly condemned this attack and have asked the Islamic Republic to deal with it immediately and take all necessary measures to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

The Islamic regime claims that there is no political motive behind this attack and that the attacker "believed his wife was being kept in the embassy".

On Friday, The United States Department of Justice announced new arrests in the assassination plot of Masih Alinejad, a journalist, human rights activist and a dissident of the Islamic regime.

According to the CNN report, the three accused men are said to be part of an Eastern European criminal organization and related to the Iranian government.

In response to this, Masih Alinejad said:  "I am not afraid of my life because I knew that killing, rape, hanging and torture are in the DNA of the Islamic Republic and that is why I came to America to be the voice of brave Iranians who oppose this regime." She added: "I thank the FBI and the law enforcement officers in the United States for protecting me, but now we have to pay attention to the innocent people of Iran who have no protection [against the regime]."
