On the eve of another Friday in Zahedan and people's protests, the security forces of the regime have intensified the military presence in the city. Reports indicate that the city has been barricaded in different places and numerous checkpoints have been established.
According to Hal-Vash, an independent media group active in Sistan and Baluchestan province, IRGC and police forces, with the support of military helicopters, surrounded the village of Sirjah in the vicinity of Lashar city and terrorized the residents.
The province of Sistan and Baluchestan has so far had the highest number of casualties during the uprising of the Iranian people. The “Bloody Friday” massacre in September is one of the biggest crimes committed by the Islamic regime in the last four months.
“Court” Rulings for Arash Sadeghi
Hossein Sadeghi, the father of Arash Sadeghi (political activist), announced that Arash is sentenced to five years and eight months in prison, two years of being banned from Tehran and the northern and neighboring provinces (exile), two years of being banned from activity in social media and the confiscation of the items found at home.
Beyond Brutality
According to IranWire, based on the information obtained from an informed source inside Urmia Central Prison, a young Kurdish woman named Shahla Abdi has been sentenced to death and her execution is imminent. Shahla burned a photo of Ruhollah Khomeini (former supreme leader of the regime) during the protests in the city of Urmia in October. She was pregnant at the time of her arrest.
This informed source says: "When I saw this woman, she looked very young but weak and hurt, and I found out that she was 4 months pregnant with her child."
Many women have been imprisoned and subjected to mental and physical torture during the nationwide uprising. Some of these women were pregnant and reports of abortions were also published.
Labor Unions Protests and Suppressions
In recent weeks and days, workers from different fields have held protest rallies in different parts of the country to protest against the bad living conditions and financial problems. These protests are always violently suppressed by the security forces of the regime, and many workers are imprisoned or threatened with dismissal.
On Thursday, January 26, a group of janitors of Tehran schools held a protest rally in front of the building of the Ministry of Education to protest against their hard living conditions and ignoring their demands.
In a statement, the workers' union of the Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company reports that Davoud Razavi, a member of the board of directors of this union, has suffered stomach bleeding in Tehran Central Prison (Fashafouyeh Prison).
