“As You're Watching this Video, I'm Already Dead”

Mohammad Moradi, a 38-year-old Iranian student in Lyon, France, has committed suicide by drowning himself in the Rhône river in Lyon. The night before committing suicide, he posted a video on his Instagram account saying: “When you will watch this video, I am going to be drowned inside this river, but this is not a suicide due to personal problems. My goal is to draw the western governments' attention to what is happening in Iran.” He continued by saying that: “I prefer death over this undignified life. Long live freedom, long live Women, Life, Freedom. You are victorious, and the lives of those who sacrificed it, will not be wasted. Don't be sad, be happy because victory is near."

**Please note that this was an individual protest act. If you are having suicidal thoughts, please contact a psychiatrist.
